Author and prominent investigative journalist Iliyan Kuzmanov has been leading the charge in writing to influence society for the better. Now, his top-rated book, "If You Meet Buddha," marks another success of its own.

Author Iliyan Kuzmanov's best-selling book "If You Meet Buddha, Kill Him," which explores what it means to be human, has entered the Top 15 ranking in sales on e-commerce giant Amazon.

"For me, it was a journey, spiritual, deep, and honest. The title and the book's main purpose was to create a notion of critical thinking and questioning, and to live a happy life," Kuzmanov, a Canadian and Bulgarian citizen, said upon receiving the news of his latest accomplishment.

Coming from a country riddled with several pressing societal issues, Kuzmanov cited the importance of publishing such a book that speaks about issues close to the home.

On the typical dilemma that people get when they assess the difference between their physical and spiritual selves, Iliyan explains, "I will use the concept of Yin and Yang, that everything is containing the opposite."

"It is not about fragment and opposites, but about movement. I lived in a state where there were White and Black, and there was no notion that Black could be good and White could be evil. It was coming from the top, and all that was coming from the top was only White and Good," Kuzmanov, a person with one of the highest IQs in the world, explained.

When asked about the ideas he tackled in "If You Meet Buddha, Kill Him," Kuzmanov stressed that individualism and egoism are not a stigma but a "matter of personal choice."

Apart from its current accomplishment on Amazon, the critically acclaimed book "If You Meet Buddha, Kill Him" has also appeared as a Reader's Choice, gaining a Reader's Favourite five-star rating and earning a Best Seller recognition in Greenwich Book stores.

In Goodreads Review, the Best Seller writer from New York, Steven Joseph, has this to say about the book: "When I started practicing Zen at the Village Zendo in New York, I would read books about finding enlightenment, and I never liked those books. But, it made me realize that if you desire to attain enlightenment, you have to stop looking. That is why I love this book so much. It is just about embracing what is right in front of you. I really enjoyed the short dharma pieces at the end. All well done."

Susan Sewell, a critique from the most prestigious international book contest Reader's Favourite where Iliyan is among the favorites, is more than positive about the rising star.

"If You Meet Buddha Kill Him! by Iliyan Kuzmanov is an engaging account of one person's spiritual encounter with himself and God. The title immediately caught my eye, and its contents are just as stimulating," Susan wrote.

Susan said the included Zen Buddhist art is thought-provoking and quite stunning, capturing the essence of Buddhism in its purest form. She lauded Iliyan Kuzmanov for eloquently depicting his spiritual journey and encouraging the reader to begin their own.

"By leading the reader down a beautiful, soul-inspiring path of philosophically enhanced experiences, Mr. Kuamanov lays the foundation for a life-altering experience. A long-time member of MENSA, a creator of several charities, and having been trained with Her Majesty the Queen's butlers, Mr. Kuzmanov's expertise shines through his accounts, creating a charming, heartwarming narrative with a solid foundation," she added.

Meanwhile, Literary Titan describes the book as an "inspiring and fantastical book that shows what it means to trust in yourself and the power of love."

Roy Mauder, a British philosopher and writer, calls the book "anti-totalitarian."

"It is a great and timely message for the 21st Century – a message for life and living sorely needed," said Roy.

Meanwhile, ex-BBC journalist and owner of one of the biggest Middle East Media Companies, TriMedia, John MacDonald, states: "(It is) a brilliant masterpiece! An intelligent and provocative journey that makes you rethink the nature of existence."

Kuzmanov, who graduated in Canada, grew up in poverty before riding on a crest of a wave as a successful businessman. Apart from being successful in business, Kuzmanov has become a prominent activist, social entrepreneur, and journalist. He has experienced both sides of the coin and is now bent on making significant changes for the benefit of the future generation.

Kuzmanov currently works on a COVID-19 vaccination project in Bulgaria and brings to the fore crucial platforms and advocacies seeking to address societal issues and improve the lives of the people. These projects have all been self-funded by his London businesses.
