Human Rights Concern and Welfare Society (HRCW Society) focuses heavily on human rights violations around the world, and recently have begun to review human trafficking in Nepal. The Human Rights Concern and Welfare Society have found that in Nepal, there has been a rise in social crime of girl trafficking for quite some time. Girl trafficking refers to the illegal buying and selling of women to be used for sexual exploitation. The illegal practice is negatively the safety and welfare of the women involved as well violating basic human rights.The HRCW Society has determined that Nepal has become a major network in this area of social crime, as Nepalese women are being sold in India. Girl trafficking in this region is attributed to poverty, lack of public awareness, illiteracy, unemployment and ignorance. The area has created an intricate network of girls that are trafficked and smuggled in the region. Remote areas where people are poor are rapidly becoming a prime target area.
The nonprofit organization (NGO), is hoping to spread awareness of this issue and help to fight the girl trafficking in region. Traffickers are pretending to be teachers in Nepal, officials and social workers, among other employment positions, to be able to reach the young girls for trafficking.
