This July, Hughes Air Conditioning Heating & Cooling, a well-known provider of HVAC services in Arizona, undertook a project to help Save the Cats Arizona, a local cat sanctuary. The sanctuary required the installation of a new heat pump window unit to keep the feline inhabitants cool during the summer heat. Hughes Air contributed by donating all the materials and providing the workforce required for the installation.The need for the new heat pump arose when the air conditioning system in the sanctuary broke down. In addition to providing and installing the new heat pump window unit, Hughes Air also helped redo the barn walls and installed a drop ceiling.
Hughes Air team that took part in the project consisted of Jim Hughes (owner of Hughes Air), Tristan Stewart, Scott Ryals, and Ashley Jossick.

About Save the Cats Arizona: Save the Cats Arizona is a local sanctuary for homeless cats felt to be at risk from an unhealthy environment or harm at the hand of humans. The sanctuary has recently been awarded a Lifesaving grant from the Petco Foundation, which is intended for life care such as food, litter, and medication for the cats. The sanctuary marked its 10th anniversary in 2016.
