Houston’s northside Subaru dealership, Gillman Subaru North, plays host and sponsor to a free cat and dog microchipping event near The Woodlands, TX, on Saturday, September 12th, 2020, from 1-3:30pm. Team Gillman has sponsored the Lone Star Animal Welfare League (LSAWL) since 2015. As part of Subaru’s Share the Love Event, this year’s sponsorship includes a $42,053 donation to the local non-profit, as well as allowing the use of their new state of the art auto dealership facility to host this annual event. In addition to the free pet microchipping, this donation will also directly support honorable rescue efforts, county programs, and other community outreach events, such as the seasonal MuttCracker Market during the winter holidays.
The Gillman Subaru North dealership’s support for the hometown charity has aided the organization in their quest to “Better the Lives of Our Best Friends.” In pursuit of their mission to promote happier and healthier lives for the pets and homeless animals in the community, over 2,900 Labs have been saved and more than 3,000 pets have been spayed/neutered.
LSAWL’s strong commitment to help people and promote animal welfare in the community has resulted in multiple initiatives, such as: Fixing Montgomery County, numerous Lab rescues, and many other community outreach programs, including their annual Microchipping event, hosted by Gillman Subaru North.
Houston’s Team Gillman Auto Group is a proud partner of LSAWL and their incredible achievements throughout the Houston area over the years. They will continue to host the LSAWL Microchipping events and the MuttCracker Market, now with additional precautions in place to protect the health and safety of the patrons and their community.
In order to maintain required social distance health practices, the Gillman Subaru Pet Microchipping Event is open by “appointment only”, with 3 available spots per each 15-minute slot. For added safety, participants are encouraged to remain in their vehicles in front of the dealership until they receive a text to bring their pets into the venue. As per current state guidelines, face masks are required. All cats must remain in a carrier and dogs on a leash.

Appointments are first come first served and limited to the first forty signups.
