Why summer horsecamp for your child? Have fun while learning horsemanship and life skills. Increases focus, discipline, responsibility and confidence by working with a 1000 lb animal!

Promenade Horsemanship Academy is proud to announce Summer Camp for Kids registration is now open. Horse camp starts the day after Memorial Day and will be held the weeks of May 28th, June 3rd, 10th, 17th, July 15th, 22nd, 29th, and August 5th. Horse riding camp lasts four days – four hours per day and offers an intensive study of horsemanship skills including safety, grooming, groundwork and riding for ages 7 and up. Most of the horseback riding camp time is spent hands on with a horse, along with some lecture and demonstration. This is not an arts and crafts camp!

Many students attend several weeks of camp, or are year round Promenade horseback riding students so attendees are grouped by skill level in order to keep the camps interesting and challenging. Promenade is known for excelling in teaching beginners how to work with horses and provides lesson horses for those who do not own a horse.

After one or two camps, students have the opportunity to join weekly group lessons which are held year round to maintain or improve the skills they learned in camp. There are also several specialty classes available for students including Trail Obstacles, Show Prep, Agility and Drill Team.

The weeks of June 24th, July 2nd, and August 12th Promenade will hold a 2 day, Monday and Tuesday, from 9 to 11 am Lead Line Mini Camp for ages 3 to 6.

Camps are a great way to solidify horsemanship skills but horses are also great for helping to teach life lessons and skills such as focus, responsibility and confidence. Many students go on to successfully show horses, learn leadership through riding on a drill team, and may even advance to teaching other students.
