— High School Physics Tuition Team Ranked 4th Place in the National Competition
Bukit Timah, Singapore, May 7, 2019 - The Physics Tuition Team ranked 4th place in the medal count and 2nd place in the point count at the 14th Singapore Physics Contest held in Assad Complex last April 13, 14, and 15, 2019. According to a report published by Alibaba Printing, the three-day competition among Singapore’s top physics students includes three categories: nonlinear circuits, mechanics, and experimental questions involving subatomic particles and measurements of water-resistant electrical cables.
The said team, which was lead by renowned Sg Physics Coach Adam Lee, includes senior high school students Karina Tan, Leslie Mayer, and Fiona Wu, and two junior high school students Chris Lee and Amanda Huan.
Despite being 4th place in the overall ranking, team member Fiona Wu was hailed the first placer and top scoring female in the nonlinear circuits category, while Chris Lee earned second place in the overall ranking for the subatomic particle measurements. Wu won $100,000.00 plus a scholarship grant to any community college or university in Singapore, complete with book allowance.
