Shawn Dohmen will be releasing a new discount phone app November 2014. The new iDcard app features the latest technology to help its users receive the best discounts in Hawaii.

Shawn Dohmen, CEO of iDcard does it again! With the release of the new iDcard app, users will be able to instantly pinpoint and access all the Hawaii discounts that are available with the iDcard. The new iDcard app features the latest technology to help its users receive the best discounts in Hawaii. Some of the newest features include a check-in point system to reward iDcard members, geo-fencing which will alert users when they are near a business that accepts the discounts offered by the iDcard, a favorites tool which will allow the user to find their most used places in a flash, GPS location services allowing users to find discounts near them using GPS and even a search engine to search for sponsors.

CEO Shawn Dohmen developed the app to include the exciting new features and is enthusiastic for its roll out. No corners were cut when developing the new iDcard app. I have learned not to order beer and hope it tastes like champagne,” says Dohmen. The iDcard app will be available for FREE download on Apple prior to iDcard celebrating its 4th anniversary, which falls on November 1, 2014. An iDcard app for Google is also in the works which will be available before Christmas 2014.

Although the iDcard app is bound to make receiving discounts in Hawaii even easier, the road to transforming the use of coupon books and discount cards in Hawaii was not smooth sailing. On December 24, 2013 Dohmen parted ways with the website company he had worked with for three years. His decision to do so led to having his domain and apps stolen in an effort to extort him for $10K. In a testament to Dohmen’s commitment and integrity in creating a groundbreaking business, Dohmen refused to lose what he had worked so hard to achieve. After many battles with the India-based web site company, Dohmen was able to regain ownership of his domain after four and a half months through ICANN (Internet Cooperation for Assigned Names and Numbers). Although Dohmen was able to recover the domain, he unfortunately was not able to recover the apps. Fighting the international court battle cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, but he was determined to keep serving his customers and save the company.

The struggles faced by Dohmen only encouraged him to continue on and create something even better, the iDcard app for Apple and Android.
