The case comes with no roaming fees and no requirements for client to look for a sim card and set up the unit.The new GoTEK7 Pelican Case is a tracker case that the company describes as “Simply remarkable and simple.” The case will track live in 220 countries, is easy to charge, it just needs to be placed on the supplied charging mat and it won't even need charging that often as it has a battery life of up to 3 months.
The company say they know that these type of cases are commonly used on aircraft which is why their new case comes with a special aircraft mode, clients can select the flight time and put the case into flight mode using the company's APP or via their website. The case will send confirmation that it has been placed into flight mode.
Flight mode will 100% prohibit the case from making any attempt to connect to networks during the flight. Once the flight is over the case will send a message that it is live and out of flight mode. The company say that the battery save/flight mode feature will increase the cases battery life by up to 12 months. Two pieces of pre-cut foam enable the user to customise the interior to suit their specific needs.
Other features of the case include an enhanced recovery system that is built into the board to stop lock ups and give enhanced network connectivity, 12 months global live tracking from 5 seconds in 220 countries with no roaming charges, on board memory if GPRS is not available, the memory will store 10 thousand positions and send when GPRS becomes available again.
