Goodfriend Publishing, a New York-based publication house, has re-released the God Is Gay explainer video to raise further awareness of God’s Word and the absence of homosexual context in the Old Testament. This explainer video enables Christians to quickly understand how the modern-day version of the Word of God now projects the beliefs of man, rather than God. Presented in cartoon format, this video is fun and engaging, as well as light-hearted making it suitable for all ages to watch.

Recently released, the brief explainer video spans for less than a minute, allowing for easy absorption in a fast-paced and time-poor world. Taking an upbeat look at how Christianity and homosexuality relate to each other, the video questions how church leaders interpret the Bible, and if this view is Old or New Testament based.
The explainer video also notes that Pew Research suggests that some 70 percent of Americans are Christians that do not regularly attend church. Questioning why this has resulted, the video goes on to explain that Jesus in his day also encountered similar difficulties, with the misinterpretation of the word of God.
Putting how the Bible has evolved into context, the explainer video defines how the title ‘God Is Gay’ analyses bibles dating back to the 1500’s for homosexual references and then compares these to modern-day scriptures.
The findings of this book shed new light on the connection between God and homosexuality as no reference to sexual orientation is in Old Testaments. As such, God Is Gay suggests that God loves all regardless of sexual orientation and that God’s Word in New Testaments conveys the homophobic views of church leaders, rather than God’s actual word.
Painstakingly analyzing many scriptures for homosexual reference, the God Is Gay title compares Old and New Testaments. Noting that none of the Old Testaments mention homosexuality, while New Testaments do, the title deducts that rewriting of God’s original word now conveys homophobic views.
When asked about their interpretation of the video, one viewer said, “The format is refreshing and makes an often difficult to understand topic relatively simple. It’s also something a family can watch together, which enables parents to explain often complicated concepts, which is good.”
