Gamma Games Interactive Inc is doing things a bit different these days. The online games developer will be celebrating the launch of its online, multi-player game Vegetaball by donating 100% of launch day proceeds to the Chilliwack Children’s Society. The Society helps enable children and young teens to access any educational, medical, cultural or recreational service or program that, for economic reasons, the family or support system cannot afford. Vegetaball’s official launch is scheduled for summer 2018.
In a space where most competitors simply launch a few ads, maybe invite a few beta-testers, or promote a Facebook post or two and fail to cause much of a stir, Gamma Games Interactive has decided to do more than just promote the launch the game’s official launch and release online.
Alex TerHart, CEO at Gamma Games Interactive, Inc, says: “We wanted the Vegetaball official launch and release to part of of the fabric of our community. We wanted to give back. It’s not just home: We’ve had incredible support and assistance from all walks of the Chilliwack business community. We feel that by giving back, even in some small way, we can help create a stronger, more vibrant place to live, work, and play.”
“It’s a great cause, really worthwhile and we’re hoping it brings together community business leaders and young people in need. Recognizing and acknowledging need is necessary first-step. It should go great unless Vegetaball completely takes off and we’re swamped with player requests!”
