The updated site is being hailed as a new shade of comedy on the Australian music scene with a heavy focus on very Australian themes from an authentic country Australian raised in Dubbo combined with Benn Gunn’s own love for hard country rock and his wry sense of Aussie humour.

In a tongue in cheek headline email subscribers are promised “100% Laughs Or Your Email Back” and the home page of the updated site is peppered with with jokes referencing unique Aussie icons like vegemite, stinging trees, tomato sauce and the importance of protecting beer over the possibility of serious injury.

The updated site also offers email subscribers to Benn Gunn’s “Insider Mates Email List” 2 of his hit singles “Heavensville” and the 3 week #1 comedy country rock hit “Girls Like Guys With Trucks.”

Benn Gunn is one of Australia’s most respected live performers with his Benn Gunn Band recently opening the main stage at the Broadbeach Country Music Festival…a festival that drew record crowds for an Australian country festival with over 50,000 attendees over the weekend.

He is well known for an uptempo rocking show incorporating humour, crowd participation and a repertoire of well written originals combined with a selection of well chosen covers. The Benn Gunn Band cut their teeth with many years experience performing at packed B&S Balls in the outback of Australia and almost every major country music festival across the country.

He is also an engaging solo performer with his closest solo performance a booking to appear at Country Music Raceday at the Doomben Racecourse in Brisbane on Saturday September 16th.

In Queensland he gained a whole army of new fans when he released the song “I’m A Queenslander” to help raise donations for the communities affected by Cyclone Debbie. The song was quickly adopted as the unofficial anthem for Queenslanders at State Of Origin time.
