By making completed spec builds available, interested buyers can take advantage of owning a classic 4x4 without the months-long wait.Two vehicles are currently available from Velocity Restorations, a deep gloss-black 1973 Ford Bronco and a 1968 Bronco finished in PPG Custom Brittany Blue. Both models are equipped with the most common high-end upgrades and modifications that Velocity Restorations has become known for.
For the Pensacola-based shop, a complete restoration and customization are measured in months. After hours of collaboration and detailed planning, a donor vehicle is disassembled. Most classic vehicles, even the highest-quality donors, require weeks of rust repair, metal fabrication, and prep work before the build begins. Finishing, assembly, mechanical, and upholstery add months to the timeline.
Every stage receives painstaking attention to detail and quality control to ensure top tier finishing and seamless operation. However, this level of care, expertise, and precision can often mean that a classic vehicle restoration at Velocity Restorations can take ten to twelve months, or potentially longer.

The same attention to detail, intense labor of love, and top-quality parts and materials are used in the two available spec-built Broncos that put hardware on the mantle.
Segers says, "We've built these Broncos literally from the ground up with the most popular options and customizations that you'll find in many of our award-winning builds. It starts as a frame-off restoration doesn't finish until we've made every detail completely perfect."
The two Bronco models currently for sale have similar specifications. Both have had their stock engine swapped out for a 430-hp Ford Coyote 5.0-liter V8 crate engine that more than doubles the original horsepower. It uses Velocity's own exclusive serpentine system, Velocity Custom performance exhaust, and Velocity Custom headers. The drive train is a 4R70 four-speed automatic transmission, Dana 44 front axle, and a Ford 9-inch rear axle.
Handling is improved form the stock setup with Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes and Hydroboost-assisted braking, while BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires on polished Mickey Thompson wheels provide the necessary traction.
Modern finishes include Velocity-designed high back front seats, fold-and-tumble rear bench seat, Velocity Exclusive digital gauge cluster and door panels, JW Speaker LED headlights, Vintage Air A/C, and all new glass and weather seals.
Both Broncos include a four-point roll cage that can be upgraded to a six-point custom roll cage.
Starting at $219,000, these fully completed resto-mod Broncos are priced in the upper echelon of customized 4x4 models, even among modern vehicles. However, it represents just one more way to own a vehicle from Velocity Restorations. Other options include a partial or complete restoration or customization for your own vehicle, purchasing a donor vehicle from VR for a custom build, or choosing a set price build.
