A little shop that carries vintage clothing, linens and accessories mostly from France, the shop also carries gifts and home décor items but what she is known for is vintage French children’s clothing and christening gowns. In addition to the shop she provides specialized shopping tours to France. Each tour is customized to her client’s needs and wishes. While the focus is shopping there is also time to learn and enjoy the rich culture and history of France. Recent tours have been conducted in and around Paris. For 2019 a tour to the South of France will be added to the itinerary. Pamela’s hope is that her customers get a feel for France while visiting her shop and the experience they would have on one of her shopping tours.

What sets French Laundry No. 9 apart from other shops is that what is offered is genuine and authentic items France. Pamela travels to France several times per year to source items for the shop and to plan and conduct her specialized shopping tours. Pamela brings back a certain level of experience and knowledge about the items for the shop or the places that we will be visited on the tours. Customers have expressed they like coming into the shop when Pamela is there so they can hear about the history of the items she has brought back and where and how it was found. Pamela says this is one of the aspects of her business she enjoys the most. “Seeing a customer’s eyes light up when I describe a quaint little French village or market…priceless!”
