FreelyTrade.com, an e-commerce marketplace, announced today that it facilitating commerce between buyers and sellers of critically-needed but banned pandemic supplies at fair prices. The company objects to the bans placed on sale of such materials.“This is a matter of public health and free speech access to marketplaces,” said a spokesperson for the company. “Our goal is to help people get what they need to stay safe by enabling them to buy coronavirus pandemic emergency supplies at normal, everyday prices. It is not right for any entity to ban such commerce. It can only hurt the public interest. We’re not banned mask sellers. We’re trying to save peoples’ lives.”
The site is offering buyers the ability to purchase face masks, sanitizers, eye goggles, personal protective equipment (PPE) and other essential products for the crisis. They have Lysol Disinfectant Wipes and Purell Hand Sanitizer with Aloe in a squeeze bottle. The marketplace also features three types of face masks: A 10-pack of disposable surgical face masks for 50% off list price, a n95 Mask 3-pack, also at half-price, and a 100-pack of surgical face masks.
Chemical splash eye goggles are available at a discount as well, along with a coverall Tyvek 400 suit—at half price. Buyers can also find toilet paper and HEPA filtration units on the site. The site provides complete e-commerce, with a shopping cart and credit card purchasing capabilities.
Sellers can sign up to participate in the marketplace. “If you have pandemic supplies to sell and are willing to offer them at a fair price, we welcome your participation in the marketplace,” the spokesperson added. “We do not approve of, nor will allow, any price gouging.”
