Former Oregon Ducks wide receiver, Jalen Hall, is currently facing a total of six criminal charges, including home invasion robbery, kidnapping, and first-degree burglary; and could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted on all charges. Authorities allege that Hall, alongside his co-defendant Millard Hill, was involved in an armed robbery earlier this month near Norwalk, California. The 19-year-old Hall is a Southern California native. Hall was a top talent at Long Beach Polytechnic High School, in Long Beach, California and was acclaimed as a highly-prized wide-receiver recruit for Oregon in 2018.

Darren Richie, the lead criminal defense attorney in Mr. Hall’s defense, states; “In our justice system, it often feels like someone has to prove their innocence rather than having the government prove their guilt; however, I take solace in the fact that Jalen will have his day in court to establish his innocence. Our society cannot continue to tolerate a ‘point and click’ system of justice. I believe in Jalen, and I believe in the process.”

Hall was arraigned on September 21, 2018 and offered a plea of not guilty to all charges. On November 8, 2018, Mr. Hall will appear in court at the Norwalk Courthouse to be heard on conditions of his bail and other pre-trial hearing matters related to his case.
