Competitive swimmers toil for hours on end in the water to improve their technique and conditioning, and yet, one of the main reasons swimmers struggle on race day is because of mental hang-ups.

In the development of his latest book, “Conquer the Pool: The Swimmer’s Ultimate Guide to a High-Performance Mindset”, Poirier-Leroy collaborated with more than 200 head coaches, as well as Olympians, NCAA champions, and former world record holders to build a book designed to help swimmers target any mental issues, find solutions, and apply the fixes needed. Using countless studies, stories, and anecdotes of Olympic champions past and present, and utilizing worksheets in key sections, Poirier-Leroy aims to help swimmers unlock the barriers between them and success in the water—their own brain.

In addition to the collaboration, Poirier-Leroy’s own personal history as a competitive swimmer heavily influenced the book, which is the second he has authored. This book has garnered widespread excitement due to its collaborative effort.
