The Flight Attendant Career Training Program, FACT, which is now under the Triad Aviation Academy umbrella, celebrates their 20th anniversary in 2018.

Greensboro, North Carolina: The Flight Attendant Career Training Program, FACT, which is now under the Triad Aviation Academy umbrella, celebrates their 20th anniversary in 2018.

This program was originally created by Wendy Stafford back in 1998 and is the original Flight Attendant only training school.

When asked why she started the training program Wendy said, “back in 1998 there wasn’t any training exclusively focused on Flight Attendants. As a flight attendant, I was approached by many people who wanted to become a flight attendant but were having trouble getting selected. From my experience as an airline recruiter, I knew I could help.”

She went on and said, “I started meeting with people one on one to counsel them, and the idea grew to the point where I began holding classes, and with the help of the internet, I now have students coming in from all over the United States!”

You might be wondering just how hard is it to get a job at an airline as a flight attendant?

Mrs. Stafford said, “these days, it is hard to get hired as a flight attendant. If you don’t have the proper training & coaching throughout your job application & the interviewing process, your chance of getting hired is less than 5%. With the successful completion of a school such as ours, you can increase your chances of getting hired to 90%.”

A lot of people want to know, what’s the best age to become a Flight Attendant, am I too old?

Wendy said, “The average age for a flight attendant in the US right now is 46 years old. So just realize that means many people are both younger and older than that number. Ultimately, the determining factor in getting hired is not your age but is your perceived ability to successfully complete the job as a Flight Attendant. We have had many people come through our school in their 50’s and 60″s.”

The FACT program was originally started in Florida and in 2016 Wendy decided to move to North Carolina and merge her program into the Triad Aviation Academy.

She said, “North Carolina is a heavy center of aviation; there is a lot going on here in this industry, so it is a perfect fit to integrate this Flight Attendant training program. Due to the current pilot shortage, there is ongoing hiring for cabin crew as well. Attrition and growth are both indicators that consistent hiring will continue in the coming months and years.”

Wendy finally said, “there is no other career like this one; the freedom to make your own schedule and travel without limits is the powerful attraction to becoming a Flight Attendant. The world really is a Flight Attendant’s playground!”

The Flight Attendant Career Training School would also like to thank friends, studentrs and all its partners for their well wishes on this happy occasion.
