With 15 years of western medicine and surgery experience, Dr. George brings in depth and extensive knowledge of Western and Eastern medicine, Dr. George Zhao takes on the new position as Acupuncturist (T.C.M.D.) for EXIGE MEDI SPA. EXIGE MEDI SPA CEO, Dr. Amanda Diep expressed enthusiasm that Dr. George Zhao is ideally suited for the position, saying:
“Due to a recent business startup which has required a great deal of my time and focus. I find relief and excitement in having such an accomplished T.C.M D (Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor) join our ranks. I was not going to settle for anyone, but really needed the right person to relieve some of the demand in appointments. I’ve spent the last 4 years searching for another T.C.M.D. to join our team and interviewing candidates in the hopes of finding someone with the right acumen. Finally, in Dr. George, I found even more than I could have hoped for.”
Among the new responsibilities Dr. George Zhao can expect to handle the following:
In joining Exige Medi Spa, Dr. George will play a key role in helping with the current backlog of patients waiting to receive acupuncture treatments.
Dr. George will also assist Dr. Amanda in drastically reducing the current patient wait time (currently between 3-4 weeks). But more importantly, for the first time in 2 years, Exige Medi Spa will be welcoming new patients wishing to receive Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is anticipated the window will only remain open for a short while as the demand for the service is quite high. At which time, the decision will be made to focus exclusively on serving existing patients.
Finally, Dr. George will also provide additional expertise. Prior to relocating to Canada, Dr. George was a physician whom specialized and practiced as an ophthalmologist. He regularly performed cataract and retinal detachment surgeries. The Doctor earned a Master’s Degree from Shanxi Medical University in 2003 and was a surgeon at that hospital from 2003 to 2012, prior to relocating to Canada.
