BlackVue has the pleasure to announce the availability of its upgraded 4K UHD flagship dash cam, the DR900X Plus Series, in single-channel and dual-channel —front 4K UHD, rear Full HD—versions. Along with improved image quality, the DR900X Plus Series introduces Seamless Pairing, an intuitive way of connecting with the BlackVue mobile application, as well as a Mobile Hotspot function.With the DR900X Plus Series, BlackVue offers a dashcam with improved video recording capability on both the front and the rear cameras. Compared to its predecessors the DR900X and before it the DR900S, the DR900X Plus Series improves clarity of both daytime and nighttime footage. That means the new model is better able to capture road crashes, license plates and scenic drives in more challenging lighting situations than ever. The ultra-wide 162-degree lens on the front camera is perfect to take advantage of the 3840x2160 Ultra High Definition sensor. The rear Full HD camera has also been upgraded with a newer Sony STARVIS™ sensor, providing great sensitivity in low light, so as to provide a clear image even with a darker tint on the rear windshield.
The BlackVue DR900X Plus Series is the first to introduce BlackVue Seamless Pairing. Combined with a fast 5GHz built-in Wi-Fi router, this feature makes it incredibly simple to pair the dashcam with the BlackVue app. It allows for an easy and secure setup without the need to manually enter passwords or scan QR codes. With Seamless Pairing, everything from transferring videos to connecting the dashcam to BlackVue Cloud is made easy and intuitive.
The BlackVue DR900X Plus Series can be hardwired to the vehicle’s battery to provide Parking Mode protection without extra accessories. With its built-in voltage monitoring feature, it protects your battery from discharging below a safe level. Like its predecessors, the DR900X Plus is also compatible with all past and present Parking Mode batteries and accessories.
BlackVue is known in the dashcam industry for its BlackVue Cloud service, which pioneered cloud connectivity in dash cams. As a cloud-capable dashcam, DR900X Plus Series can connect to BlackVue Cloud via the optional BlackVue LTE Connectivity Module or a third-party portable Wi-Fi router. This allows users to receive push notifications on their phone in case of impact on their parked vehicle, check a live video feed from their dashcam, and even better, save Impact Event videos to the Cloud in real time. As a bonus, when connected to the BlackVue LTE Connectivity Module, the DR900X Plus Series can serve as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five devices concurrently. This means passengers can connect their laptop, tablet or other mobile device to share the dash cam’s internet connection.
