SMS Electronics is celebrating their 40th Anniversary, which commemorates 40 challenging years in business. This is a huge milestone for the Melbourne, Australia-based electrical appliances expert in repairs of washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, stove and ovens which has provided service and maintenance to all major household , real estate and government department since 1978.
SMS Electronics got it’s start in 1978 when founder Sam Pateras decided to put his electrical trade into use for the general community, representing his own company as opposed to working for someone else
One of the earliest challenges SMS Electronics faced was that of a growing business needing the finances to get the company going. With the help of some family members and out of the founder’s attitude of “never say die,” it has outlived that period where most business would have quit and failed.
While every business of course faces challenges, some, like SMS Electronics are fortunate enough to enjoy real successes, wins and victories too. Once such victory came when they’ve won businesses from government departments, one of which, is the Department of Health and Human Services in Victoria, Australia.
Angelo Pateras, Head of Marketing at SMS Electronics was also quoted when discussing another big win. “One of the high points of SMS Electronics’s history so far was seeing some of our clients grow in productivity previously being interrupted with either half or fully non functional electrical appliances.”
