Dr. Ali Cadili decided to specialize in Surgical Critical Care/ Acute Care after his residency, going against all odds to pursue his dream as he looks to continue in his pursuit of changing lives as much as he can. Choosing Surgical Critical Care as a subspecialty was not the easiest decision for Dr. Ali Cadili, particularly considering his love for the field of General Surgery.It has become increasingly common to pursue subspecialty fellowship training with a diverse choice of fellowship available to surgeons. Factors affecting the choice of subspecialty include length of training, expected lifestyle after graduation, width, and complexity of operative procedures. These factors and a host of others were considered by Dr. Cadili before settling with the Surgical Critical Care subspecialty option.
Dr. Ali Cadili started out as a general surgeon without particularly feeling a strong urge to commit to one specific component of it at the detriment of the others. After delaying his decision consciously for a few years and going against the advice of many, Dr. Cadili, out of the conviction that the priority was to select the right subspecialty, chose Surgical Critical Care/Acute Care Surgery.
The choice of Surgical Critical Care/Acute Care Surgery was particularly great for the multi award-winning surgeon as it allowed for the continued practice in General Surgery. The specialty also complemented his personal needs, perceived deficiencies, as well as desires that were unveiled after a few years of practice.
Over the years, Dr. Cadili has become one of the most sought-after practitioners in the medical field, literally stealing the hearts of patients across Canada. "Thank you for saving my life.
