After an arduous negotiation process, a coveted three-acre lot in Coney Island was secured, and plans to develop a 120,000 sq. ft. complex, the largest of its kind in Brooklyn, were drawn. Upon completion of construction in 2014, MatchPoint NYC immediately raised the standard and expectations for recreational infrastructure across the city, becoming the preferred venue for families, professional athletes, and prominent charity events. The center’s unparalleled, state of the art amenities allow for an expansive array of training programs, league sports and group classes that similar facilities simply cannot accommodate for, while its dedicated and highly trained team of certified instructors, personal trainers and nutritionists inspire, challenge and encourage members to improve their overall health and well being.
MatchPoint’s most prized feature, according to Dmitry Druzhinsky, is a cutting edge indoor tennis arena with nine courts and six additional mini courts dedicated to youth. Dmitry Druzhinsky is a prominent South Brooklyn real estate investor and developer best known for co-founding MatchPoint NYC, a luxury sports, health and fitness center in Coney Island.
