A criminal expungement is the legal process that allows a person who has previously been convicted of a crime to file an Application with the court to request that their criminal record be permanently removed from their criminal background and officially deleted from public access.Often times individuals and families lack the financial resources necessary to help resolve many of their legal concerns and matters, including the foundational tools required to seek a criminal expungement. The goal of each seminar is to 1) Establish and meet all eligibility requirements to apply for a criminal expungement; 2) Assess each individuals circumstances to establish best practices for the submission of application materials and supporting documents; 3) Connect with community employers and resources to seek employment and career opportunities; and 4) Perform mock oral arguments to prepare for expungment hearing before the requisite tribunal.

Seminars will include a panel of community organizations, employers, local agencies and vendors who share the same goal of providing free resources and assistance to convicted felons and persons with a criminal past in need of expunging their criminal record.
