Steve Baxter’s plan is to procure apartment properties of 200 units or greater that have been overlooked, short of funding, or poorly taken care of. He prefers areas of the city that are getting better or stable.
Steve completed Texas Tech University with a B.S. in 1974 with a 3.7 . He earned the Dean’s List for all every semester and majored in History with minors in Philosophy and Greek. Steve was President of Friday Night Tape Class.
By 1985, Steve was assembling partnerships and buying large multifamily units with postponed maintenance in need of a turnaround. Steve became known as a “turnaround specialist” because he had both the management expertise along with the construction knowledge and ability to complete a renovation on time and at a reasonable cost.

Steve has consistently told them what he would like to be said about himself by his students: “I really knew that Cat Daddy (Steve’s nickname) loved me and cared deeply about me.”

Andrew Baxter’s Dad, Steve, was usually filming the game because Andrew’s brother Brennan was the senior point guard. Steve observed how animated the bench was and how much fun they were having, so he started filming the bench more than the game. He put together a funny video that can be viewed on his website. Andrew’s number was 23.
Andrew Baxter was a 5-foot-9 point guard, and worked hard during his high school career on Pearce’s team. This hard work and diligence taught him some of the character traits necessary to be successful in life.
Andrew Baxter has seldom seen so many authentic Christians. While many college students view their university years as time to indulge themselves in more parties , Andrew Baxter experiences the deeper, more lasting satisfaction of learning what it actually means to be a Christian, to belong to Christ, and to be in fellowship with fellow Christians.
Andrew’s perspective is remarkably like that of his father, Steve, and ultimately to that of the Apostle Paul, who wrote, “Everything that was gain to me, I consider to be a loss because of Christ. What I mean is, I consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.”
Furthermore, the Bible makes a challenge that goes something like this: “I call heaven and earth to record this day, that I have set before you life and death: therefore, choose life.”
