Lipids are not only the skeleton components of biological membranes and biological energy suppliers but also participate in many life processes and have important physiological functions. Lipidomics is a large-scale study to screen biomarkers for disease diagnosis, disease staging/typing, and prognosis judgment. It can also be applied to drug therapy development, such as polyketone antimicrobial, antiparasitic and antitumor drugs. Combined with other omics, it can better clarify whether the disease changes at all levels have been interconnected. Moreover, many clinical disease studies have benefited from lipidomics, such as diseases of the nervous, digestive, cardiovascular, endocrine, and immune systems, and also cancers.

At present, the main contents of lipidomics research include: analysis and identification of lipids and their metabolites, lipid function and metabolic regulation (including key genes/proteins/enzymes), and lipid metabolism pathways and networks. Listed below are some research topics that are yet to have solutions but are expected to be achieved soon using lipidomics.

a. Large-scale, high-precision analysis and identification of body fluid lipid metabolites and their relationship with important diseases
b. The relationship between the dynamic changes of cells and their regional lipid groups and abnormal cell function
c. The relationship between the metabolic regulation of cholesterol and its oxidative modification processing and related metabolic diseases
d. The relationship between fatty acid metabolism regulation and related metabolic diseases
e. The relationship between lipidome and its metabolic regulation and basic membrane structure necessary for life
f. Lipid metabolites and their metabolic pathways and the basis for the development of related drugs

In one collaboration with the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) laboratory, we provided lipidomics characterization services for mitochondrial mutant nematodes. We used high-performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS) to determine the lipids presenting in wild-type, age-1, gas-1, age-1 mutant nematodes, and gas-1 mutant nematodes. UPLC-MS has high separation efficiency and analysis speed to achieve an accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of lipids.

"Our specialized service is designed to provide a versatile and reliable platform for lipidomics analysis. We have advanced equipment, professional lipidomics, and a bioinformatics team to ensure the quality of service. Over the past ten years, Creative Proteomics has helped clients complete hundreds of projects, from project design and experiment to interpretation of results and bioinformatics analysis. "Stated Creative Proteomics's executive VP.
