A cottage rental agency based in Cornwall, in the South West of the United Kingdom, is celebrating a great start to 2019 with an office move to facilitate further business growth.

Cornish holiday company Duchy Holidays is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a move into a new office to accommodate its growing business needs.

The Perranporth based company has this week moved into larger premises in Wheal Leisure House, just off the high street of this popular Cornish holiday town.

The building will allow the continued growth of the holiday letting agency which promotes over 150 self-catering houses, cottages and apartments in and around Perranporth and St Agnes on the North Cornwall coast.

Located between St Piran’s Road and Wheal Leisure, the new premises provide a convenient town centre location with plenty of passers-by from the adjacent car park.

The building previously served as a doctor’s surgery, but has been extensively renovated and renamed as Wheal Leisure House or Chy Whel Leysour in Cornish.

Business owner Michelle Robertson commented: “We’re really excited about our move to larger offices, which has been specially designed for our purposes.

“While we loved our old base at Westcott House, we had seriously outgrown this small building. Our new premises will allow us to grow and provide an even better service to visitors and holiday home owners.”

The Tourist Information Centre, which Duchy Holidays operates on behalf of the town, has also moved across the road into its own dedicated space at Wheal Leisure House, where visitors can pop in for guides, timetables, tickets and advice on local tourist attractions and things to do.

The extra space in the new building will also allow the business to offer hot desk space for local freelancers to rent on a daily, weekly, monthly or permanent basis.

Meanwhile, the old office in Westcott House will be occupied by Seathrift boutique, a local business selling pre-loved clothing and accessories.

Alongside the office move, Duchy Holidays will shortly be celebrating 25 years in business. The company has also launched a new look brochure and will shortly be releasing a brand new website.

Mrs Robertson added: “This is a really exciting time for our business. We’ve taken on new properties and additional staff to meet the growing demand for holiday lets and deal with bookings which continue to increase year-on-year.

“We look forward to welcoming our regular visitors and as well as new guests into our new premises, and attracting new audiences for holidays and short breaks in Perranporth.”
