Summer college wood bat team announces 2017 schedule and new methods to help Dallas Fort Worth businesses attract new customers in Dallas County, Collin County and Denton County

The Texas Marshals, a summer college wood bat team which plays in the Texas Collegiate League, announced today their 2017 season game schedule and a new Denton County business directory on its fan website. The team will play its home games at Graham Field which is located on the campus of Prestonwood Baptist Church. The stadium’s location (6801 W Park Blvd., Plano, TX 75093) is located on the border of Collin County and Denton County.

Marc Landry, owner of the Texas Marshals, said, “I look forward to bring quality summer college wood bat baseball to the residents of Dallas County, Collin County and Denton County. This will be our third season playing games at Graham Field, and we want to thank to staff at Prestonwood Baptist Church and Prestonwood Christian Academy for having the Marshals back to play our home games at their stadium. The Marshals have been with the TCL since the league’s inception in 2004, and we look forward to showcasing tomorrow’s professional baseball stars to baseball fans across the Dallas Fort Worth region.”

Landry continued, “We also understand the needs of the residents and businesses in the nearby towns. Therefore we have decided to leverage our two websites’ capabilities to reach people in the North Dallas, Collin County and Denton County region. Our ability to help local businesses reach new customers and clients has been refined; and we can leverage our sports websites and social media properties to help local businesses attract new customers and clients by offering valuable content to people in their desired geographic areas year-round. This now can be done even if the prospective customers do not attend any TCL games this season.”

He continued by saying, “We want our fans to have a great time when they come to our games. Graham Field provides stadium seating in the shade, and our scheduled home games begin at 7:05 pm. This is to minimize the chances of our fans being in the hot Texas sun to watch a baseball game. All of our games are structured to provide a family-friendly environment for longtime baseball fans and first-time Marshals fans, alike, to enjoy our games this summer.”

According to the TCL website, “The Texas Collegiate League exists to provide the best summer league experience for the best professional prospects from colleges throughout the country. The league will allow those players with eligibility remaining to showcase and improve their skills in a wholesome, minor league-type atmosphere using wooden bats. The league is committed to providing quality, inexpensive entertainment in a small-town, intimate atmosphere that is distinctively Texan, while helping promote the game of baseball in the communities involved.”

Fans interested in attending games may purchase tickets at the gate on game days or contact the Texas Marshals’ front office for single game or group outing tickets. Businesses interested in reaching the Marshals to gain exposure in the business’ desired North Texas region may contact the front office or discover more through the website with the local business directories.

Media interested in interviewing the Marshals’ players, coaching staff or front office on the topic of college or professional baseball may reach the team through the same means.
