Chord Melody Guitar Music ( chordmelodyguitarmusic.com ) announces the arrival of a new collection of jazz guitar chord melody solos by professional jazz guitarist and recording artist Steven Crowell. This new 4 volume collection series of book/CDs features solo jazz guitar arrangements of famous jazz standards by composers like George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, Jimmy Van Heusen, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers, Henry Mancini, and Michel LeGrande. Songs by more recent songwriters like Stevie Wonder, The Bee Gees, and The Beatles are also included to round out the collection.
In the past, Chord Melody Guitar Music has always maintained a large selection of instructional courses consisting of books and DVDs for learning other styles of music for the guitar including blues, flamenco, classical, country, rock, acoustic, and jazz. The art of playing chord melody solos, where the guitarist harmonizes each melody note of the song with a different chord, is a very complex and challenging style of guitar playing. This new series of collection book/CDs makes the learning process considerably easier by providing the student with an audio CD of Steven Crowell playing each chord melody solo note for note as well as clearly written pages of block chord diagrams and standard notation for each solo.

Although there are other book collections of chord melody solos available on the internet, Steven Crowell’s method of writing out each solo by combining block chord diagrams with standard notation is almost unheard of and makes his collection series rather unique for that reason alone.
