Rock Chicago magazine, an online music site ,has reviewed Chicago drummer and musician Jim Murray's newly released album "This Love of Mine" .

The industry standard in Chicago writes "  “This Love of Mine”, is a diverse mix of love songs and ballads that have become his own personal favorites over the many years. While handling his usual drums and percussion duties on the CD, Jim also steps out from behind his drum kit to front and center, with microphone in hand, and adeptly performs the lead vocals on all fourteen tracks. With a nod to the singer that made the Tommy Dorsey classic title track famous, Frank Sinatra, Jim did it his way."   The full review is at the Rock Chicago site.

“THIS LOVE OF MINE”  was  released electronically  globally under the Skip Towne label with electronic direct distribution by Itunes, Google Play and Amazon online stores last month.

"THIS LOVE OF MINE" is part anthology and takes the listener on a journey through love in all its forms. The songs cover Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Ben Folds, Matt Nathanson, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Bob Dylan, Elvis, Hart & Rodgers, Chris Isaak, U2, Frank Sinatra, Neal Diamond, and BB King.

The album features John “Phloss” Rice, Dave Onderdonk, Eric Hochberg, Larry Gray, JoAnne Togati, L.A. Baker, Tamara Anderson, The Drunk Whisperers (including Peter Quinn, Harry Reinhart), RPM (including Mark Peterson, Gregg Richardson) and Skip Towne and the Greyhounds big band “live” at Shady Shores Resort.
