World Series winners will host many great giveaways at Wrigley Field through rest of season, Barry's Ticket Service reports
— The 2016 World Series-winning Chicago Cubs are now fighting for first place in MLB's National League Central division. Only a half game back at the moment, the Cubs are giving it their all in more ways than one.
As a new guide at the Barry's Ticket Service website reveals, baseball fans will have many opportunities throughout the rest of the season to score free Cubs-themed gear and other gifts when they attend games at historic Wrigley Field. From bobbleheads and caps to replica jerseys and tote bags, the Cubs' 2017 promotional giveaway schedule is one of the most generous yet. Fans can buy their own Cubs Tickets now at the Barry's Ticket Service website, where each upcoming giveaway and special event is listed prominently on the schedule.
"Last year's World Series win by the Cubs was one of the greatest and longest-awaited professional sports achievements of all time," said Barry's Ticket Service representative Chris Cabrera. "For 2017, the Cubs are doubling down on the determination and drive that put an end to their 108-year World Series drought. They're also expressing their appreciation to loyal fans with some of the coolest giveaways and promotions we've ever seen. With tickets available for all of the Wrigley Field games to come through the rest of the season, we invite Cubs boosters and other sports fans to stop by our website to have a look."
In 1908, the Chicago Cubs faced down the Detroit Tigers in the fifth installment of the modern World Series. Having taken the title against the same opponents the previous year after falling to the Chicago White Sox in 1906, the Cubs secured it again in five games.
That 1908 World Series championship was the last the Cubs would win until the team's seven-game defeat of the Cleveland Indians last fall. Having racked up a 2016 Wrigley Field attendance total of more than 3.2 million, the World Series champions have also enjoyed strong support through the first half of 2017.
Fans can expect even more than great baseball when they attend Cubs home games through the rest of the season. With a new guide at the Barry's Ticket Service website detailing all the promotional giveaways scheduled through the end of the 2017 season, fans who show up early to select games will receive gifts ranging from baseball-shaped silicone ice cube molds to Cubs-themed fedoras and action figures. Tickets for all the remaining Cubs home games are available now at the Barry's Ticket Service website and at the company's locations in Calabasas and across from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
