Chef John Stout Joins Nepal Earthquake Relief Effort

May 2, 2015 – Virginia, USA – Nepal, where the recent earthquake has devastated the lives of thousands, is in dire need of clean and safe drinking water for its residents. In order to meet the needs of those who have met with the devastation first hand and those there to assist, Mercy Chefs’ very own Chef John Stout will be traveling to Nepal for a more hands on approach to assisting those in Nepal. Clean water is the fundamental need of every human being and John Stout will be making his way to the country with the critically needed water filtration units and water filtration straws. The aim of the excursion is to develop and provide clean drinking water of up to 7,000 gallons to the residents of Nepal. Mercy Chefs, the nonprofit community development establishment was recently lauded for its efforts in community care by the governor of Virginia who awarded the co founder of Mercy Chefs the Volunteerism Award. However, reaching out to those in Nepal isn’t just one man’s job and the entire team behind Stout at Mercy Chefs has been putting in gargantuan efforts in order to make sure that the Nepalese victims of the earthquake receive the help they need on time. In order to make this happen, the team is not only putting in their own efforts but also collecting donations for the development and provision of water filtration systems and straws to ensure clean and safe drinking water for Nepalese victims. Sudden catastrophes require immediate action and Chef John Stout is reacting to it at rapid speeds. In that endeavor, Mercy Chefs is also accepting donations for the Nepalese people in order to improve their effort and reach out to more and more people in need. In addition to in person donations, Mercy Chefs has also created the option to donate through their website. Donations are currently accepted through Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Cards. Those that can’t avail these facilities or are not comfortable doing so, have the option of making the donation through PayPal. Chef John Stout will be leaving for Nepal without further delay and will require assistance of every kind as soon as possible.
