Charter Oak Insurance and Financial Services, one of Mass Mutual Insurance Company's oldest, most respected agencies. under the leadership of Managing Brokerage Director Tom Kaye, has announced the creation of a new SMARTS unit. This unique team is dedicated to helping financial advisors build better client relationships, get more referrals, and discover new lead sources .

SMARTS, which stands for Special Marketing, Agent Retention, and Training Solutions addresses problems that many financial services professionals face on an ongoing basis, including not receiving enough focused product training, lack of follow-up, and poor marketing support.

Veteran broker, trainer, and recruiter Michael J. Travers is at the helm of this initiative designed to help brokers and agents make more money with Mass Mutual's forward-thinking and innovative products.
