Despite the loss of Celtic Woman's violinist, the group is going on tour and tickets are selling quickly.

Celtic Woman fans recently got a shock when they learned that the group’s violinist, Mairead Nesbitt is departing the group in order to pursue some solo projects on her own. The parting is friendly, and the group has made it clear that they fully support the efforts of Nesbitt. “Not only is she a great musician but also a true professional and most importantly a lovely person and a good friend,” says Dave Kavanaagh, the Executive Producer of Celtic Women. “We wish her the very best with her solo projects and look forward to her playing again with Celtic Woman.”

The group searched long and hard for a violinist to replace Nesbitt, and finally found Tara McNeill, who is a graduate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music. “The is a dream come true for her and I know that all of you will give her a big Celtic Woman welcome and help her realise her dreams,” says Kavanaagh.

Meanwhile, Celtic Woman is on tour, and plans to grace the stages of cities across the nation in the upcoming months. The tour kicks off on November 30 at the Burbank Center for the Arts in San Rosa, California, and winds up on May 19, 2017 at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas. Seats for the sought-after tickets begin at just $75 and climb slightly upwards of $500 for premium seats.

“We’re close to being sold out for the November show,” says a spokesman from Concert Bank, an online third party ticket seller that specializes in hard to find tickets. “As of right now, we have less than 80 Celtic Woman tickets left for that performance.”

The tour, titled, “Voice of Angels,” will include McNeill, as will the groups new album which will be released on November 18. The album shares the same title as the current tour.
