Renowned chef Nathan Huxham, who has cooked for the likes of Robin Williams, the Prime Minister of Australia and Paris Hilton, will soon be launching his self-produced travel adventure cooking show “The Flying Chef”, a series that covers his cooking journey through remote parts of Indonesia. Author of soon to be launched book “Tell Your Boss to Shove It! How I Travelled the World on $20 a Day”, he has combined his 4 passions for flying, diving, cooking and travel to create this TV show.

According to Nathan, “Travel has always been a burning desire since my first family holiday overseas when I was 7 years old. In 2008, I walked away from my wood fire pizza franchise that my business partner and I had built from scratch, put everything I own in storage, donned a backpack and left Australia with a one way ticket, working and travelling for just under 4 years through North and Central America, Europe and Southeast Asia.”

While in the Caribbeans, Nathan completed an open water dive license to overcome his fear of putting his head under water, but soon fell in love with the underwater world and left the Caribbeans with a dive-master certification 3 months later when he returned to Canada to work for the 2010 Winter Olympic season. Then in May of the same year, he traveled to Europe, to work as a chef’s working on a superyacht for the summer season in the Mediterranean.

He continues, “Flying has been the number one thing on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and after studying part-time for 2 years, I obtained my private pilot’s license in 2015. To me, it just seemed like a natural progression to roll my 4 main passions into one business and make a television series about it.”

In 2017, Nathan commissioned a production company and shot 7 episodes of The Flying Chef throughout the remote parts of Indonesia, a series that is now available for distribution. His main goal has been to use the show as a means to educate, entertain and inspire viewers, and also the responsibility to raise awareness to many important issues that threaten the oceans and the very existence of human life. The show is designed to inspire people and make them stop and think about what they truly wish to achieve in life.
