— Carole Hambleton-Moser is pleased to announce her latest philanthropic efforts in her third term on the Board of the Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary. The Sanctuary in McGregor, South Africa, focuses on the rescue and rehabilitation of abused donkeys while promoting the general welfare of these intuitive and compassionate animals. As some of the most abused animals around the globe, the Sanctuary is currently working against the current major threat against donkeys – the donkey skin trade in which donkeys are brutally killed for their skins which are used to produce major component in the cosmetics industry.

All of Carole Hambleton-Moser’s Board positions are on a volunteer, pro-bono basis – serving as what she refers to as her "give back" work. This includes her position as Board Member with Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary as well as Trustee Emeritus at the MacJannet Foundation. The Foundation, established in 1968 by the MacJannet family and friends, works to promote tolerance and cultural understanding internationally. Today, the MacJannet Foundation is administered by a group of global citizens, including MacJannet friends and alumni like Hambleton-Moser.

Carole Hambleton-Moser’s philanthropic work is focused on young people, animals, and rising entrepreneurs around the world. The Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary program supports efforts to utilize the gentle donkeys’ innate intuition and compassion in the development of donkey-human interaction programs. This unique program also helps individuals with disabilities (physical, psychological, and mental) to benefit from healing interactions with the donkeys.

“After 25 years in the international banking sector in Geneva and Cape Town, I now dedicate my experience to helping social impact businesses, social entrepreneurs, and charitable organizations become viable and sustainable. I do this primarily by serving on Boards of Directors, but also take an active role in select projects undertaken by the various groups I work with.” – Carole Hambleton-Moser
