Capital Health Care Network has named Lisa Brown as Chief Operating Officer, and promoted two vice presidents to build on its legacy of quality senior care services in Ohio and WV.

DAYTON, OHIO – Ohio-based Capital Health Care Network has announced the appointment of Ms. Lisa Brown as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, and two new Vice Presidents. The appointments strengthen the company’s capability to deliver on its mission of helping seniors age on their own terms.

Why This Change Matters

Kenneth Bernsen, CEO of Capital Health Care Network explained the organizational change this way: “Historically, we have employed two COO’s, each over a division of the company – Senior Care and Senior Living/ Home Care. Moving forward, the one COO will have two Vice Presidents of Operations, one for Senior Care and one for Senior Living/Home Care, as direct reports. Appointing one COO will allow us to better align our company and operate more efficiently.”

Ms. Brown, bringing over 20 years of experience in the senior care field, has served the company as an RN, a Home Health Administrator, and most recently, as COO of the Home Care, Hospice and Senior Living Division.

Of Ms. Brown’s appointment Bernsen said, “It is with great honor that I name Ms. Lisa Brown as the Chief Operating Officer of Capital Health Care Network. Her experience and leadership skills will serve our company well. I am confident that Ms. Brown is the best candidate to lead our organization, while embodying the values that we hold dear.”

Senior Care Division

Mr. Bryan Asher will be promoted to Vice President of Operations, Senior Care Division, reporting to Ms. Brown.

Mr. Asher is a Registered Nurse, a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, and most recently served as the VP of Clinical Services, Senior Care Division. Mr. Bernsen continues, “I have enjoyed working with Bryan the last couple of years, and his knowledge and leadership will drive our Senior Care Division to higher quality standards and operational excellence.”

Home Care, Hospice and Senior Living Division

Ms. Stephanie Rich will be promoted to Vice President of Operations of the Home Care, Hospice and Senior Living Division, also reporting to Ms. Brown.

Ms. Rich is a registered nurse who has worked for the Capital Health organization for almost 10 years. She has served as the Administrator for both Hospice and Home Care located in Dayton, OH. Ms. Rich has over 25 years’ experience in home care operations. “I have worked with Stephanie for many years now and I believe this decision to promote her to lead our operations of Home Care, Hospice and Senior Living is a great decision! Stephanie has a great deal of experience in both clinical management and operations which I believe will add value to our organization as she steps into her new role,” said Mr. Bernsen.

A Continuing Focus On Quality of Care

Capital Health Care Network’s commitment to quality senior services across its growing assisted and independent living, skilled nursing, home health care, and hospice operations, is reflected in the recent string of 5 star ratings from the Centers For Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other reviewers.

Ms. Brown’s, Mr. Asher’s, and Ms. Rich’s new roles will help the organization build on these successes, and will foster continuous improvement and learning across the organization in a way that benefits seniors and their families.

Some of the challenges the new leadership can expect to handle are:

• Unifying operations in a rapidly growing company while maintaining the culture of family

• The pressure to continuously improve care quality in an environment of rapidly increasing demand for senior care services.

• Integrating the best people, skills, and technology into operations
