The Canadian hip-hop artist Dyl Jordaine is impatiently waiting for the Coronavirus pandemic to end to start singing again. Jordaine is planning for shows in Kansas City, St. Louis, and surrounding areas as soon as possible. Currently living in Missouri, Jordaine is looking to take his music to the next level.Jordaine’s latest released EP album is “Paul Gregory I”. For Jordaine, his music is a tribute to forgotten artists of hip-hop. His work exhibits his versatility because he has handled many genres in the music. Jordaine’s work is a tribute to many people, featuring bouncy pop / hip-hop singles and the same holds true for his latest album.
“For my EP “Paul Gregory I”, it’s about me showcasing my versatility,” says Jordaine. As Jordaine grew up, he and his friends were in love with hip hop, especially trap songs. However, they often neglected artists like Adele, Taylor Swift, Dan & Shay and old school hip-hop and R&B. Through his creative works, Jordaine is looking to revisit the past and pay tributes to old artists who walked before him.
The talented singer was introduced to the world of music when he was only eight years old. Jordaine had sung in the church choir and wanted to become a music star when he grew up. He was so focused on music that he did not have any other plans for a career.
Jordaine, who grew up in Ontario, was quick to pick up his music from varied sources. He remembers how he used to sing and record his music and then improvise on them. Jordaine maintained his interest in music even while performing well at school and college. Good at academics, he has received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and had enjoyed an honor roll during all years of college.
