Ontario, Canada — Canadian Adventure Camp is pleased to unveil their brand-new, state-of-the-art gym and equipment. The Canadian summer camp revealed the new equipment to campers this past summer. The newly built gym includes high-quality gymnastics equipment, an 80-foot power tumbling rod, and four new 7×14 non-folding trampolines. With the new equipment, the camp directors hope to expand the opportunities for gymnasts and camp attendees.
Dave Ross is the camp’s trampoline program director and the one who designed the new non-fold frames for the trampolines in their facilities. Ross has been program director since the start of the program over 20 years ago. He is also the head coach of the Canadian Olympics team. He comes with experience and knowledge regarding the safe use of and training with trampolining equipment.
The new equipment has been designed with safety in mind. Every trampoline has a bungee system and spotting belt rig. Another new feature is the rebound power track, which is equipment that is usually ordered by circuses and display teams. It is considered a dynamite training aid for gymnastics and power tumbling.
Gymnasts are also able to enjoy the new competition Spieth equipment, which includes a spring-loaded Berlin international rings frame. Fitness poles have been installed for the very first time at the gym to help campers build upper body strength, balance and control.
In 2018 the Ontario summer camp introduced a new aerials program. This program, catering to aerialists in training, now offers six 20-foot silks and four hoops. Aerialists at the camp are also treated to a stable trapeze, with all the necessary straps and accessories to get the full experience.
