California Cannabis Market Merges with Silicon Valley Technology to Bring New Augmented Realities to Life.
— Oakland based Cannabis company, Can of Bliss brings Augmented Reality and Scratch and Sniff technology to the California Cannabis dispensary market. Their patented technology allows dispensary customers to ‘scan the can’ and virtually see exactly what is inside the can before they purchase it. With their Scratch and Sniff add on, customers can smell the terpene profile of the flower’s strain. Their new technology hit California cannabis dispensaries over the Summer and has revolutionized the cannabis consumer purchasing experience.

In this video, the budtender demonstrates how to use the Can of Bliss Augmented Reality technology. He takes the can, scans it and up pops the photo of what’s inside as well as the testing information and farm name.
In participating dispensaries, customers can scan their can using the Augmented Reality point of sale display. When scanned, not only does the actual photo of what’s inside pop up, but also the testing information and farm profile. This makes it easier for the customer to connect to the product and the process.
“It is really important for the customer to know exactly what they are getting. We promise a ‘nug shot match guarantee’ - so what you see is what you get” - says CEO, Mat Fogarty. “This immersive experience makes it easy for customers to see the nugs, meet the farmer, check out the test results and feel good about their purchase.”
