Calgary Cake Decorating & Baking School Business Program Launched

Lambert Academy students go through 180 hours of hands on training. The class sizes are 3-6 people. The program focuses on practical projects that prepare students for the jobs they will be doing for their own cake decorating business.


Lambert Academy keeps their class size small, around 3-6 people so each student gets the time and attention they need. Once tuition is paid there is nothing more to buy, all the tools, equipment and uniforms are supplied. The program focus is to develop the skills most in demand to run a cake decorating business

Lesi Lambert is an experienced Practitioner-instructor with over 10 years of practical baking and cake decorating industry experience. Lambert says, “Our focus is on practical projects like wedding cakes, sculpted cakes, figurines, apertures and physical structures that prepare students for the jobs they will be doing for their own clientele”.


The program is designed to take a student with no experience and teach them the very basics and bring them right up to professional standards. Students with cake decorating experience at every level benefit. When students graduate they have mastered the skills of a Professional Cake Designer and business owner.


After 28 years in the medical field, Lesi Lambert gave up a very lucrative position to pursue her passion for cake decorating. She started out in her cake decorating business creating specialty sculpted cakes and special occasion cakes and built a successful full-time business. Over the years she has won first place in numerous contests, has been featured on TV and news media for her cake creations and charitable contributions. Her largest corporate client cake of a horse pulling a chuck wagon fed over 1000 people.


Lesi Lambert found her passion teaching others how to master the skills in cake decorating and has personally taught over 1200 students. Lambert tells her students “I am a firm believer in building your own lifestyle”.


The Professional Cake Decorating Certification Program is held in Calgary Alberta Canada at the Lambert Academy Studio Kitchen. Which is Alberta Health Food Safety approved and a licensed training facility. Each student goes through 180 hours of hands on training. Classes are kept small to ensure each student gets the personal guidance they need to succeed their own business.


Many women are leaving the work force either by choice to pursue an alternative they can be more passionate about or have been down sized with a substantial severance package. Students see this change as an opportunity to run their own home based cake decorating businesses.
