Butte Creek Mill Hosts Book Signing For Shooters, Heels and Heroes: The Life and Times of Rico Valentino

06 January, 2015

It’s a “Red Carpet Night” in Eagle Point as the Butte Creek Mill hosts a book signing for Shooters, Heels and Heroes, authored by award-winning journalist Damian Mann and Retired Jackson County Sheriff and County Commissioner C.W. Smith.

The authorized biography is the true story of pro-wrestler Rico Valentino, who worked undercover for the FBI where he infiltrated and helped tear down one of the most ambitious hate groups in the U.S. — the Aryan Nation. To do so, he spent four years climbing through the ranks of the neo-Nazis to become the right-hand man and bodyguard of Richard Butler, the charismatic leader of a group of fanatical followers who viewed him as a prophet of a white-only America.

“Shooters, Heels, and Heroes” recounts the story of Rico Valentino, from the hard knocks of childhood, to his career working undercover that displayed his penchant for busting drug dealers and lowlifes throughout the western U.S. and Alaska.

The book signing will take place, Wednesday January 14th at the Historic Butte Creek Mill located at 402 N. Royal Ave Eagle Point Or, 97524 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Wine from Cliff Creek and Hors d'oeuvres from the Butcher Shop will be served.
