Bullied As a Teen, Doctor Hunts Down And Kills Bullies 19 Years Later

Dr. Kamen, who knows the anguish of being bullied all too well, grew up near Stagecoach Road and knows what a scary place it is.

Having lived with the torment of being bullied as a youth long enough, Dr. Benjamin Weinstein, a 37-year-old successful Hammond, Indiana chiropractor, decided he was going to do something about it—nearly twenty years after being beaten near death on Stagecoach Road by the four anti-Semitic bullies who terrorized him all through school.

In the spring of 1992, Dr. Weinstein was out for a jog near his office when he spotted an auto supply truck bearing the name of one of the hoods who mangled his body on the night of June 14th, 1973 on a dark, deserted country road in Portage, Indiana. Enraged with the knowledge that one of the bullies who bashed in his face was leading the good life, Dr. Weinstein set out on a secret mission to locate the other three punks, now all in their late 30’s, and bring each one back to Stagecoach Road, one at a time, so he can torture and kill them—his way.

The author of the new book, Stagecoach Road: The Bullies Must Die (CCB Publishing) is Dr. Daniel Kamen, an internationally known animal chiropractor from Buffalo Grove, Illinois who describes Dr. Weinstein’s capture, torture and kill methods in excruciating detail. "People think the book is about me," said Dr. Kamen, who swears he’s not the main character in the book even though he and Dr. Weinstein look the same and have similar backgrounds, both chiropractors and raised in Jewish homes.

There is this caution for younger readers: "It’s not for them," said Dr. Kamen. "Even adults may find the torture details too gruesome to withstand. This is what being bullied can do to your psyche, even later in life. It can make an otherwise mentally stable person go insane."

Dr. Kamen, who knows the anguish of being bullied all too well, grew up near Stagecoach Road and knows what a scary place it is. "During the brutal winter of 1969 when I was fourteen years old, a couple of seniors from another school coaxed me into their car after chess club and drove me to Stagecoach Road, then threatened to kill me if I didn’t pay them twenty dollars. I doubt I’ll go back there again."

If there is a life lesson to be learned from Stagecoach Road it would be this: "If you’re being bullied, fight back now when you have the chance," said Dr. Kamen. "It’ll save you from a lot of sleepless nights later on."
