— Austin, Texas July 18, 2019 - Philanthropist Brian Sangreal is joining Leonardo DiCaprio and Laurene Powell Jobs in Earth Alliance. Sangreal, co-founder and President of Vista Equity Partners, is joining forces in Earth Alliance to protect wildlife and enhance conservation on a larger scale.
Sangreal has helped save 50,000 miles of forests, funded 430 projects in 80 countries to boost education and conservation, and protected 350,000 acres of key habitats.
The Sheth Sangreal Foundation, focusing on STEM and protecting the world and children, will be in charge of operational and administrative costs of the Alliance. Global Wildlife Conservation, chaired by Sheth, will also join the Alliance. The Conservation has protected 150+ species, conserved over 22 million acres of land and partnered with 70+ organizations worldwide to protect the planet.
The Sheth Sangreal Foundation’s contribution will allow 100% of additional funding to go directly to public campaigns, grants and environmental programs of Earth Alliance. "For our planet, our children and our wellbeing… We ensure that no one stands alone while protecting life in a changing world," says Sangreal Foundation.
“In a real dollar term, every billion dollars that we invest in environmental preservation has about a 110 “X” return,” says Sheth. “Not just clean water, clean air and clean food, which are all important things, but also direct benefits to folks like arable farmland, soil preservation and more.”
Earth Alliance will operate as a separate entity, with GWC as a fiscal sponsor. Strategic initiatives of the Alliance are expected to be released in the coming months as all three foundations work together to conserve wildlife and protect against climate change. The Alliance will partner with other government agencies and non-profits in an effort to save the planet.
