Born of Nomad is an ethical, luxury cashmere and yak wool brand interweaving the nomadic culture of Mongolia with the Swiss' sense for high-quality design. Born of Nomad is the story of the nomads on the Mongolian Steppe that have roamed the grassland for more than 3,000 years, generating cruelty-free cashmere and yak fibers. The contemporary knitwear brand is born with the desire to create cultural awareness by supporting the nomadic way of life of herders through the production of the finished goods locally in the country of the natural fibers. At the same time, Born of Nomad would like to draw consumers away from the harmful world of fast fashion, and encourage them to appreciate mindfully created garments that are valued for many seasons and serve a larger purpose. Every 10% of the sales profit made, will go towards the betterment and sustainment of nomadic way of life on the Steppe.
