Billboard Top 20 Charting Band Water Seed Vanquishes Narcissists on New Single - It Ain't My Fault released June 26th.

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Pop-Rock-Soul hybrid band Water Seed released a new single, “It Ain’t My Fault,” on June 26, 2020. The Billboard-charting band’s latest song follows the recently released “Gotta Love You Mo’,” which was accompanied by a lyric video that has amassed over 50,000 views on YouTube.

Described by Water Seed founder Lou Hill as “truth wrapped in chocolate,” “It Ain’t My Fault” is a self-empowered, triumphant rebuke of a past lover (“it ain’t my fault that you’re lonely…”). Against an uptempo rhythm with earmarks of vintage Black soul music, the new single is the latest offering from a group who has always placed freedom and liberation at the forefront of its artistry.

In particular, this record encourages individuals to rid themselves of gaslighters and manipulators. As singer-flutist Cinese Love puts it, “this song makes me want to eradicate narcissism.” Vocalist Lyndsey Smith echoes the sentiment, adding “This song is dedicated to all those people who think the world revolves around them…we all know at least one!”

“It Ain’t My Fault” is available on all major digital platforms.

Water Seed creates a timeless yet immediate sound with an edgy style and progressive consciousness. In 2017 the band scored their first Billboard charting album, We Are Stars. The following year they scored big with the release of their album Say Yeah, debuting on 4 Billboard charts and reaching number 17 on the R&B Charts. In 2020 the band was set to hit the road for 6 months, but due to the effects of Covid-19 Water Seed can be found live streaming on a weekly basis from LiveNation venues such as the House of Blues New Orleans and The Fillmore.

“A gumbo of pop, funk, prog-rock, jazz fusion, and R&B. Priority though the music is, the band also features the old-school showmanship of Morris Day, James Brown and Prince in its party mix.” – OffBeat Magazine For more information, visit the official website for Water Seed.
