Circle N Maze and Drew and Caylin Herley are pleased to announce that the largest corn maze in San Antonio has scheduled its opening weekend for Saturday, September 24, 2016. The biggest maze event in the San Antonio area, at ten acres, is located on the back eighty acres of the Circle N Farm. The farm is located off Dry Hollow Road. The theme this year will be “The Headless Horseman: and the design will be cut using GPS.Fifteen acres of the maze were planted with the design encompassing ten acres. There are three mazes linked in a single design for maximum fun and participation. Visitors should wear shoes which are suitable for walking, and open sandals are not recommended. Smoking is not permitted. Visitors are allowed to bring their own refreshments or to take advantage of the food vendors which will be on-site. No alcohol is permitted on the premises.
Other activities which will be available include a pumpkin patch with baby farm animals to pet, perhaps even bottle feed. There are picture stations and multiple vendors so visitors can shop, eat and play games. There are game activities for all ages. The Herley family has created a family-oriented place to have fun and to learn about animals and agriculture. Guests should bring flashlights, or a glow stick can be purchased on-site for navigation of the maze at night.
The opening weekend on September 24 features open hours on Saturdays from 10 am to 9 pm, and Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm. School trips should be scheduled in advance. If the weather turns bad, calling to check whether the event is open is recommended.
The Circle N Farm has roots in La Vernia which date back to the mid-1800s. The Circle N today is a beef cattle and hay operation run by Danny and Laura Herley, Drew and Caylin Herley are excited to continue the farming tradition to bring the maze into La Vernia.
