Dominion Tree Care Specialists has grown at a very healthy rate in recent years, as they continue to provide professional tree services at reasonable rates. While they are located in Moneta, the Dominion team has become a popular choice for residents and some businesses in the Smith Mountain Lake, Bedford, Roanoke, and Salem regions. Word apparently travels fast when you perform quality work at a fair price. That appears to be the trend with this small tree care business, as they have doubled in size since 2016.
When asked about this growth, Shannon stated “We started out primarily by word of mouth, some signage, and Home Advisor leads… and from their our reputation became more established. One of the big differences though, was that we finally started to take seriously our online business image and marketing. HomeAdvisor sometimes makes you feel like a commodity, and we really wanted to separate ourselves as a brand. We worked with a local Army Veteran, who did a great job helping us to develop a brand that people associate with our great reputation. I think that this better visibility helped us to build on what was a good foundation. We get referrals and repeat business constantly.”
Shannon also discussed how many people in the tree service business tend to overcharge. “Dominion’s pricing is fair and transparent, which is one of the reasons our customers are loyal to our team. There are also those individuals who charge dirt cheap rates, but they generally do not have a license, liability insurance, or quality work standards.”
While the company has been making strides in building their unique brand in the community and online, they still tout their long list of 5 star reviews from satisfied HomeAdvisor customers. One of the 76 customers who applaud the Dominion team said “This is the second time I have hired this contractor for large tree removal. Easy to work with and better price than others!”
When asked how the summer is shaping up for 2018, Shannon mentioned that they are working hard to take care of customers across the region. “We stay busy, that’s for sure…”
