The restoration efforts continue at the Proctor Mansion Inn. The historical, 19th century French-Victorian home includes an elegant L’Enfant ballroom. Among its notable details are an ornamental, original millwork, and an intricately designed ceiling medallion reminiscent of Victorian life.

The original wallpaper was a hot pink and beige embossed paper. The recently updated wallpaper, chosen to capture the original look, is beige and white paired with hints of pink. A local artist has completed the restoration process of the faded paint on the large ceiling medallion. Original hues of pink, green, and blue have been delicately painted, bringing the medallion back to life. It is once again a focal point of the L’Enfant ballroom and source of much conversation.

Entertaining was an instrumental part of Victorian life. The ballroom is a perfect venue for parties, weddings and meetings. Guests revel in the restored beauty of the room, charm, and hospitality of the inn. Overnight guests enjoy a Victorian breakfast in the ambiance of the ballroom or formal dining room.

Many guests and visitors fully appreciate the beautification and will be inspired to choose the Proctor Mansion Inn for their next event and/or overnight stay. The original owner, Thomas Proctor, would be well pleased!
