Basingstoke based tax expert Olusegun Kazim has just acquired the franchise for Certax Newbury after building a very successful practice at the Basingstoke office. Official Certax figures show that Kazim’s practice is in the top three Certax offices in the country.
Kazim who is a respected fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and has worked all around the world for several multi national companies has been an accountant for over 20 years. Kazim says, “The transition from the corporate world into owning my own business was hard. It was a steep learning curve but once I got my first few clients on board I began to get referrals from them to their friends and family. Today I have grown the practice to quite a size and currently have 3 staff members.”
Certax are a franchise operation and they allow one accountant per geographic area. Their particular focus is on helping free up their clients time by taking all of their bookkeeping, accounting and tax related tasks off their hands. They also counsel and advise their clients in all matters regarding their tax affairs.
It is quite unique for one person to own multiple franchise operations and Kazim doesn’t want to stop there. He continues, “Over the next three years I want to start my third franchise and have the businesses running at the same level as the Basingstoke office. I know it will take more hard work and dedication but I am determined to make it happen.”
