Award Winning Fantasy Book Series Teaches Children to Love Wildlife & Nature

WhipEye Chronicles, a fantasy thriller series, mentions 100 species of wildlife in the first two books published thus far. The main character, Samantha, is an animal nerd who adores nature and wildlife, and passionately defends it. Educator/author Geoffrey Saign hopes that children reading these books will want to protect our vanishing species and nature. Saign says, “Children need to be in nature more often. Nature activities reduce stress and increase creativity and exercise. Reading books about wildlife and nature is important for young readers.”

WhipEye, Book 1 of WhipEye Chronicles, recently won the 2015 International Book Award (US Book New) & 2015 Outstanding Children’s Fiction (IAN Book of the Year Awards). Gorgon, Book 2, has already received rave reviews.

Saign says, “It’s great to have won the awards, and I hope it draws more attention to books that highlight themes of nature and wildlife.” WhipEye is also a Top Pick on LitPick.com, the #1 site online for kids reviewing books.

The first book, WhipEye, is already moving toward feature film producers. The action-packed story is whimsical, magical, and quirky, and seems to appeal to all ages. Rick Kogan–WGN Chicago Tribune–says, “Loved the book. It should be a movie.” The 1 minute book trailer can be seen on You Tube WhipEye.

Gorgon, Book 2, continues the award-winning series. Gorgon departs from WhipEye’s personal story to a much larger global examination of love, nature, and intuition. The fast-paced story poses the question; Is love just taking care of our own personal world and family, or does it mean that we should consider the good of the planet—and everyone—when deciding our actions? Saign says, “It’s a fitting and necessary question for our times.”

WhipEye and Gorgon are available through Amazon and all book stores. WhipEye Chronicles on Amazon.
